Grown in the highlands known for its heavy mist and pollution-free environment. Hisui is crafted from a blend of Fuding Dabai and Longjing #43 cultivars. Together, they develop a distinctive seaweed-like aroma and a strong umami body that defines its character.
On the palate, Hisui begins with a bold seaweed umami, rounded and smooth on the first sip. The flavor develops into a warm roasted soybean note, tapering into a clean, lingering astringency. The finish leaves a crisp greenness that lingers softly.
Harvested in early spring (April), first flush.
